As the first provider of camera-based robots for CNC turning and milling processes, SHERPA was already highly innovative in product development. In order to bring their commercial processes up to date, they engaged CERTAINCE.
Challenge
Due to its rapid growth, SHERPA was confronted with increasingly complex internal processes. This increased the workload as well as the risk of costly mistakes.
Approach
To digitize and automate its complex manufacturing, purchasing, logistics, as well as finance and account processes, SHERPA needed an ERP system. Moreover they needed a system that they could start small but would not become a bottleneck with the company’s rapid growth. Together with CERTAINCE, they decided for Microsoft Business Central. A quick overview of all existin and need tables was established, and SHERPA’s processes were quickly compared to standard processes in Business Central. The key challenge was the company’s complex product configuration.
Results
The system implementation has been planned and implemented rapidly and is generating considerable cost savings through automation and higher transparency.
